The municipality released its holiday schedule this week.

The holidays will have an impact on recycling collection. Curbside blue box collection will be impacted in North Marysburgh, South Marysburgh, and Athol. Collection scheduled for Monday, Dec. 25 will be collected instead on Saturday, Dec. 23. Collection for Monday, Jan. 1 will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Curbside garbage and green bin collection will not be disrupted by the holidays. Landfills and transfer sites will be open on Saturday, Dec. 23 from 8–4 p.m. The Picton transfer station is open regular hours, 8–4 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 27 and all sites will be open from 8–4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Municipal offices will also have altered hours. They’ll be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 22, will be closed Dec. 25 and Dec. 26 and from Dec. 27–Dec. 29 will be open 8:30–5 p.m. Municipal offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 1 and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 5.

The Prince Edward Community Centre will be open Dec. 24 from 8–3 p.m. and on Dec. 25 from 7–5 p.m. The community centre will be closed Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.

The Wellington and District Community Centre will be open on Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon, closed on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26, and will be open on Jan. 1 from noon to 5 p.m.
