A 2015 GMC Savana van reported stolen from the municipality’s County Rd. 22 works yard over the weekend was recovered Monday night near a park in the Picton area, police say.

An employee noticed its disappearance Monday morning and contacted the OPP. It was reported someone broke into a municipal building and stole the keys and a quantity of cash.

The recovered van matched the licence plate and description of the stolen vehicle. The OPP’s Forensic Identification Unit processed the vehicle and is continuing its investigation.
