To the publishers, editor, and staff of the Gazette:
I, like many readers, acknowledge the value of local journalism and the special form of community-building this paper provides, but it occurs to me it is difficult to support directly. The publishers have admirably stuck to a business model which provides me weekly information and entertainment without the need to buy a paper, pay a subscription, or fear a paywall. It is confounding in its generosity, but appreciated.I try to support other organizations whose efforts make this community better, whether by modest donation or paid membership, but the Gazette offers me no such way in. So here I am, resorting to a paid ad to let them know how important the Gazette is to me.
Well done, folks. Keep up the good work.
