Wellington man struck by vehicle

A Wellington man is in Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a pickup truck travelling westbound on the village’s Main Street early Tuesday evening.

Police and Paramedics were called to the scene near the Wellington Post Office just after 5:30 p.m.

According to a press release issued by Prince Edward OPP, the male walked out between two parked vehicles on Main Street near East Street and was struck by a westbound vehicle. 

The driver of the truck, a 63 year old male from Trenton, was not injured in the incident.

The investigation is continuing at this time.
