George Jay Archie Kent
Peacefully at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday December 17th, 2017.  Jay Kent, of Sheba’s Island, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Alice for fifty years. Loved dad of Leanne and her husband Andrew Hammond of Thorold and Scott and his wife Audra of Belleville and proud grandpa of Drew, Alicia, Brodie and Anna. Dear brother of Ross and his wife Carol of Peterborough. An engineer, Jay loved his 43 years of work with with CN and Via Rail. Jay was an avid boater and keen fisherman.  Memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton, on Thursday December 21st at 11 a.m. The Rev. Danny Smith officiating. If desired, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or Loyalist Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
