A pair of County natives playing for the Quinte Red Devils would appreciate an online vote for their good deeds this season.

Ben Smith and Keenan Wiles of the Bonn Law Major Pee Wee Quinte Red Devils got quite a thrill during the Canada-Sweden gold medal game broadcast of World Junior Championships Friday night as their club was mentioned and highlighted on TSN during the announcement of the 10 semi-finalists for the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup.

The Good Deeds Cup is a challenge program for all pee wee hockey teams in Canada to commit good deeds, volunteer and work to make their community a better place.

Since the start of the season, Bonn Law Red Devil team members have served meals at retirement homes, cleaned up local parks, taken part in a clothing drive that will send items to a remote northern community and undertaken a pink-in-the-rink event where the club raised over $3,000 for breast cancer research.

Voting commences Jan. 15 when video profiles of each semi-finalist will be revealed at www.chevrolet.ca/hockey/good-deeds-cup.html
