I would like to add my two cents worth to the debate on the future use of the old fire hall.

I think that County council should lease the building to the Prince Edward library board. This provides easy access on the ground floor for everyone — no ramps need to be built. The inside is an open space that could easily renovate for whatever use the board and staff feel is necessary. There is easy accessible parking.

The second floor could be used for training programs and lent out for meetings. The elevator again provides access for people with disabilities.

The current building on Main Street is bursting at the seams.
