Elmer Haggarty McNamara passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Hastings Manor Belleville in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Louise Thiffault. Dear father of Ronald (Bonnie), Shirley Langman (Kernel), Gary (Lisa), Caroline & Audrey, predeceased by sons Martin and Douglas, daughter Colleen as well as sister Marilyn McNamara. Missed by grandchildren Michael, Shannon (April), Jo-Anne (Jeremy), James (Becky), Colleen, Amanda (Dylan), Patricia (Trevor), Colleen Rebecca, Nikola, Kasey, Remi and his 10 great grandchildren. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends were invited to call at the Burke Funeral Home, (613-968-6968), 150 Church St. Belleville on Wednesday from 6-9 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s the Archangel Church Thursday, January 25th, 2018 at 11 am. Rite of committal at St. James Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall. If desired donations to the Knights of Columbus or the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated.
