The Picton Recreation Committee is getting behind a late summer outdoor musical festival.

The PRC announced this week they are supporting the 2018 PEC Fest, a two-day family friendly classic rock and smokin’ blues festival August 11 and 12 at the Milford Fairgrounds.

“The Picton Recreation Committee is excited to be a supporter of the inaugural PEC Fest,” Committee member Bev Humphrey said.  “Music speaks to everyone, at every age, on some level. The line up of bands and performers is impressive, including well known Canadian musicians and popular County entertainers. We hope that PEC Fest becomes an annual event, adding to the music culture of the County.”

The festival will offer safe, on-site camping, fantastic food vendors, local artisans, an open mic for folks to let their star shine, tons of giveaways and the chance to be surrounded by like-minded music lovers for the whole weekend.

Among the acts already booked include Harvey Lee Osmond of Junkhouse and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings fame as well as Wild T and the Spirit.

Local acts include Crimson Cay and Little Bluff.
