The municipality issued a news release Tuesday indicating White Pines developer wpd will begin road upgrades soon.

Contractors for the White Pines Wind Project will be widening four intersections in the next few weeks and the County will be providing updates via its social media accounts.

The four impacted intersections are; Royal Road and Lighthall Road; Lighthall Road and County Rd. 24; Royal Road and County Rd. 10; and County Rd. 4 and County Rd. 34.

The release says the contractors are undertaking the work as provided for within the road users agreement with the municipality. The work will allow the developer to transport oversize loads through the intersections.

During the work, there could be delays or lane reductions in the construction areas. The County doesn’t anticipate the intersections to close to traffic.
