Scott Woods and his band to support Sonrise Christian Academy

Renowned Canadian Fiddle Champion Scott Woods and his band are coming to Prince Edward County with a Christmas gift for his fans.
Woods will present  Old Time Christmas!, an uplifting two hour Branson-style live show that celebrates the Christmas season with the sweet harmonies of twin fiddles, smooth vocals and plenty of traditional country, western swing and old time fiddle Style.
Enjoy sensational step dancing, wholesome family humour and Scott’s famous trick fiddling-somersaults and walking on a barrel- all while playing the fiddle!
Joining Scott onstage is his sister Kendra (Woods) Norris- a multi-instrumentalist an no stranger to old time fiddling having won the Canadian Duet Fiddle Championship title three times with Scott as well as several solo wins in various classes including the 2016 Canadian Open (19-55 division).
Also onstage are Canadian Country Music Association Award Winner and Guitar Player of the Year Steve Piticco; Bass Player, Peter Sisk, Step Dancer 14-year old Leo Stock and keeping the band in time is drummer/vocalist Bill Carruthers.
Scott Woods is a two-time winner of the Canadian Open Fiddle Contest, two-time winner of the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championship, two-time winner of the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championship as well as Fiddle Entertainer of the Year.
In August he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Association and is known affectionately as “The Flippin’ Fiddler’ while touring extensively across Canada and the United States every year raising funds for churches, charities and community service organizations. 
Woods and his band were in Picton in late June and played to a near-capacity crowd at Picton United Church.
Old Time Christmas! takes place on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church (2 Corey Street, Bloomfield).
Concert proceeds support Sonrise Christian Academy. 
Tickets are $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for children (ages 6-12) and children 5 and under get in free.
