On Wed., July 10, a Federal Conservative candidate knocked on my door here in Wellington handing my wife a flyer supporting his leader Andrew Scheer and himself, Tim Durkin.
He was obviously in campaign mode.
But the campaign has not started. It does not start until later this year.
This is not the USA where political campaigns seem to go on forever.
Why was he here at our door, in July, campaigning for the October federal election?
A Canadian, of whatever political party, should not be subjected to election campaigning this early.
That is not how our system works.
Message to candidates seeking my vote: knock on my door anytime you wish but please wait until the election is called.
Nigel Sivel,
Wellington
