A former Lehigh Cement employee now living in Northwestern Ontario has been charged with fraud and other related offences.

According to Prince Edward OPP,  a representative of Lehigh Cement Plant contacted the detachment in mid-January with information regarding a former maintenance manager and their suspected fraudulent behaviour.

Following a detailed investigation Michael Fielder,  53,  a previous resident of Prince Edward County but since moved to Ear Falls Township near Red Lake, Ontario has been charged with the following criminal offences:

•Fraud Over $5000,

•Obtain Credit by False Pretences or Fraud

•Falsification of Books and documents with Fraudulent Intent.

Fielder is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Picton to answer to the charges on 27 May 2020.
