COLLIVER, Shirley Irene

At home with her family on Saturday April 11, 2020, Shirley Colliver (nee Pickering) passed away at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late Ronald James Colliver. Most wonderful Mother of Rhonda (John Palmer), Micki, Patti (Thayne Mead), and Lisa (Tim Vanhecke). Wonderful Grandmother to Michael, Daniel, Katy, Innis, Anya, Brett, Ryder, Matthew, Bethany and Benjamin, great-grandmother of Mark, Thomas, Sebastian, Simone, Evie, Eden, Ari, Josie, Moshe, Brooklynn, Hope, Sawyer, Anastasia, Scarlett, Desmond, Weston, Sullivan and Lorelai. She was predeceased by her son Mark Douglas, great granddaughter infant baby, Harmony, and her siblings Stuart, Burton, Lea, Dorothy, Ralph, Betty and Pegi. Daughter of Edmund Murney Pickering, Sprinkbrook, ON and Margaret Elizabeth McLaughlin, South Bay, ON. Shirley loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her dear friend George. She was an active member of the Picton United Church most of her life, having recently celebrated 70 years singing in the Picton United Church Choir. She also was very active with many social card playing groups. She had a kind and gentle nature and a beautiful smile she loved to share. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A service in remembrance and celebration of Shirley’s life will take place at a later date.
