On Wednesday, July 8, 2019 at approximately 4:20 p.m. members of the Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics responded to a near-drowning incident at Sandbanks Provincial Park – Outlet Beach.

Officers arrived and found civilians performing CPR on an adult female who had been pulled from the water. Paramedics took over emergency treatment and the victim was transported to hospital in serious, but not life-threatening condition.

Prince Edward OPP would like to thank all those who assisted in this rescue.
