Folks, I have bad news about free calendars.
We’ve already had people calling about the free calendars. We really can’t have people coming into the office to pick up calendars. For the safety of our staff and seniors the office is closed unless a person has a foot care appointment. It’s too bad because for many years Community Care was able to source free calendars for seniors. Last year we had the support of the Insurance Bureau of Canada. They provided some free calendars and dropped them off for us at the office of Todd Smith, MPP. The Dairy Farmers of Canada sent us some Milk Calendars, too. And people would drop off calendars that we would redistribute. When we get to the other side of this pandemic we’ll get back on track with the free calendars for seniors. One of the reasons, we’re told, that seniors really liked one of the calendars we used to be able to source was because it had the cheque dates listed on it. You can find the OAS and CPP payment dates on the Federal Government website at this link and search for “benefits payment dates”: www.canada.ca
The 2021 payment dates have already been posted and I’m going to print the dates in this column. Then you can clip the column and refer to it for the payment date. These are the benefits payment dates for both Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security: January 27, 2021; February 24, 2021; March 29, 2021; April 28, 2021; May 27, 2021; June 28, 2021; July 28, 2021; August 27, 2021; September 28, 2021; October 27, 2021; November 26, 2021; and December 22, 2021. The payment dates for the Veteran disability pension are a bit different so check the website for that information.
