Online registration for one of Prince Edward County’s most popular fundraising golf tournaments is poised to open Tuesday, Aug. 2 at noon.

The Pioneer Healthcare Val MacDonald Memorial Golf for Hospice Prince Edward is slated for Friday, September 16th at Picton Golf and Country Club. Cost is $150 per person and includes a loaded grab bag, 18 holes of golf and a power cart and post round prizes. The four person scramble is always a popular close-out event for local duffers in the fundraising circuit and organizers have chosen to offer an online registration options to ensure all foursomes have an opportunity to sign up and play a round in memory of MacDonald, a well known community builder as well as raise funds for our residential hospice.

Last year upwards of $50,000 was raised.

Registrants can visit www.hospiceprinceedward.ca. Pioneer Healthcare remains as the platinum and title sponsor while diamond level sponsors include County Farm Centre, Bay of Quinte Insurance, Home Hardware, Otter Energy and Re/Max Quinte (Prince Edward County agents).

Lunch is sponsored by Lehigh Hansen. An online silent auction for the community is also planned and organizers will be releasing more details in the coming days on the Hospice website.
