Details

We are pleased to welcome the guitar quartet Melamatina to BIGLAKE for the first time! They are celebrated for their “immensely colourful, lyrical, and expressive playing” (Laura Snowden) and seek to engage new audiences through a variety of activities, including commissioning new works, arranging pieces, and collaborating across disciplines. Their programme BAILA means dance, and it is a celebration of global rhythms and dances featuring music of Astor Piazzolla, Phillip Houghton, Clarice Assad, and world-premiere performances of a new work by Kalaisan Kalaichelvan.
