The Alzheimer Society is hosting a Brain Health Education event!
Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, 1 pm – 2 pm
Picton Library Branch (Flex Space)
Join us for this FREE event to learn about the modifiable risk factors for dementia, and how you can make a positive impact on your brain health at any stage in life. This information is based on the Alzheimer Society Landmark Study research report and highlights manageable ways to implement changes in your day-to-day life that anyone can adopt. Did you know that it is estimated that 40% of dementia cases worldwide could be preventable? A 2020 research report found that 12 changeable risk factors could account for that 40%. September is World Alzheimer’s Month, and we are doing our part to help spread the word about prevention & brain health here in PEC!Melissa Whalen in the new flex space downstairs at the Picton Library (accessible elevator available). You don’t need to register – just pop on in.
