Join Bear on the veranda of the Rose House Museum, the gem of Waupoos, a simple but charming farmhouse built in the early 1800’s.

Located on the eastern end of the picturesque Prince Edward County peninsula, spend the day with textile artist Bear Epp for a Intermediate rug hooking workshop “Creating a Nest “in a painterly and expressive folk style.

Working on a hand drawn pattern on linen designed by the artist, we will go through the steps in building your nests twig by twig, adding depth and shading in the design as we go. Also discover the joy of Hit & Miss hooking, a traditional rug hooking technique of using up your leftover wool in artful way and a lovely nod to our historic surroundings.

This workshop is suitable for anybody who has taken a beginner workshop to the more advanced rug hooker. This will be a fun and supportive day of hooking together, learning few new tricks and making new connections.
