Visit the Marilyn Adams Genealogy Centre every Tuesday from 1-3pm throughout Flashback February for “From Past to Present: Tracing Your Family Roots” – a supportive workshop series.  Each session begins with a focused presentation on a key genealogical topic, followed by hands-on exploration with personalized guidance from our dedicated volunteers
Session 4: Genealogy Beyond the Tree: Exploring Community Contexts Genealogy is more than just names and dates; it’s about understanding the lives your ancestors led within their communities. This workshop focuses on using local reference materials to gain a broader perspective of the times and places where your ancestors lived within and prior to arrival in PEC. With our extensive historical reference collection, you’ll have access to dozens of national and local resources and publications, with the opportunity to purchase select materials. Work with MAGRC volunteers to dive into these resources and uncover the stories that shaped your family’s history
