Arts
September 12
1–5pm
This workshop, led by artist instructor Megan Fitzgerald, introduces simple, thoughtful ways to engage with the outdoors through drawing. We’ll begin with an hour-long walk, sketching and gathering visual notes from the landscape. Guided drawing prompts will support observation and curiosity, whether you’re new to drawing or returning to it.
Back in the studio, we’ll look at contemporary artists whose work is shaped by time spent outside. Drawing from your own observations, you’ll create a layered mixed media piece on a cradled wood panel using collage, drawing, and paint. You will leave the workshop with a personal artwork that maps your experience of place.
