It is with profound sadness and shattered hearts, that the family of Fred Herbert, of Milford, announce his sudden passing at his home, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Toni Nickle. Loving father of Stephen (Gemma) of Nepean, Jennifer (Erwin) of Georgetown, Brock (Kim) of Union, Kentucky and Josh of Peterborough and step-father of Kelly Trowbridge (Danielle) of Guelph, and Kim Armstrong (Auldwin) of Belleville. Fred will be sadly missed by his 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Survived by his sisters Lynda Atkinson of Brampton and Phyllis Slessor (Simon) of Barrie. Predeceased by his sister Connie. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Herbert is resting at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450) for visitation on Friday, February 28 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bloomfield, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1 pm. Cremation to follow with a private family interment in Everton Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Emmanuel Baptist Church, or the Storehouse Foodbank, Wellington would be appreciated by Fred’s family.
