Peacefully passed away at the age of 97, at the Stirling Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, Barbara Kathryn Hobson (nee Rankin) of Picton, Brockville and Belleville. Wife of the late Don Hobson. Loving mother of Helen Hobson (Omar Al Haidari) of Oshawa, Peter (Trasie), and Grandmother of Ben, all of Belleville. Great Grand-daughter of Wellington Boulter and daughter of the late William and Kathryn (nee Boulter) Rankin. Survived by her brother John Rankin of West Lake, and predeceased by siblings Helen Busch, Ted Rankin, Robert Rankin and Rosemary Trebell. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hobson rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be be held at Glenwood Cemetery, Picton on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 2 pm. A Celebration of Barb’s Life will be held at a later date.
