It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Basil on Monday, September 29th, 2025 in his 102nd year at Hospice Quinte. Son of the late William and Irene Easterbrook. Loving husband and best friend to Eleanor Easterbrook. Cherished father to Linda Frair, the late Judy Gulley, Benny Easterbrook (Jill), Roland Easterbrook (Marg), Billie-Jo Easterbrook (Andrew), Justin Easterbrook (Jill), and by step-children Patti Bongard (Leroy), Kim Mosier (Mark) and Kelly Bongard. Pre-deceased by his infant sister Elaine Easterbrook. Basil will be greatly missed by his many grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. He will be remembered as a well respected entrepreneur, having started some of this area’s most well known businesses, Baz Auto, Bayview Auto and Occasions By The Bay. He will be missed by his many friends and longtime employees. The family will hold a celebration of Basil’s life on Saturday, November 1st from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. (drop-in) at Occasions By the Bay, 980 Old Highway 2, Trenton, ON K8V 5P5.
