Peacefully entered into rest at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, March 21, 2025, Bea Reed (nee Hargrave) of Picton, died at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Emerson & Edna Hargrave and wife of the late Ron Reed. Loving mother of Julie Reed (Taylor) of Kingston, and Paul Reed (Carol Selby-Reed) of Bowmanville, and the late Angela Hopf. Proud grandmother of Carly and Reilly. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Her life well lived and the sweetest and brightest soul.
“So, I’ll sing Hallelujah
You are an angel in the shape of my mom
When I fell down you’d be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back
He’ll say ‘Hallelujah you’re home’”
                            Ed Sheeran
In keeping with Bea’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450), Online condolences may be made at: www.rushnellfuneralhomes.com
