Obituaries

Candice Marchell Ens (nee Shipway)

After a brief illness, Candice passed away at Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, December 8th, 2024. Loving mom and biggest supporter of her children; Ben and his wife Heather of Cherry Valley, Amanda Cafarelli of Brooklin, and Robin and her husband Colin Henden of Picton. She cherished her grandchildren; Nicholas (Chloée), Jonathan, Elise (Jude), Adam, Thomas and Alanah, and grand-dog Ruby. Seventh of the eight daughters of the late Bill and Willetta Shipway; Loretta, Marlene, Jane, Janice, Marsha and Wanda, and the late Yvonne, she will be lovingly remembered by them and their families. Candice enjoyed the company of the many friends she made in The County, especially those at her home church. Memorial Service will be held at the Free Methodist Church, Picton, 384 Main Street, on Saturday December 14th at 11 a.m. with family receiving friends following. If desired, memorial donations in support of Hospice Prince Edward would be appreciated by her family. Arrangements entrusted to the Funeral Directors of the Burke Funeral Home & Steele Funeral Home, Belleville
