It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of David at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75. David leaves behind his wife Karen, sons Ted (predeceased) Michael (Justine) and Matthew (Kristina), his cherished grandchildren Madelyn, Harrison, Ross, Rory and Robert, siblings Peter (predeceased) Denis (predeceased) Virgina, Andrew (predeceased) and Tom. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Born in Montreal, David moved to Toronto to work in the broadcast industry. He spent his career working in national radio advertising sales. He was passionate about the business and was a great mentor. Upon retirement he couldn’t wait to spend all his time in The County on the farm he loved. An extraordinary chef and lover of red wine, David knew how to enjoy life with family and friends. David was an avid reader and spent many cold winter afternoons with a good book or two by his side. He loved both fiction and nonfiction but had a great appreciation for a good mystery. Always known for his sense of humour. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh, a trait he passed on to his children and grandchildren, a constant reminder of the impression he left on us all. He had a knack for remembering every joke ever told and maintained his sense of humour until the very end. A Celebration of Life will be held at Wellings of Picton, 15 Wellings Dr, Picton, ON.
