Passed away peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital, on Sunday, November 30th, 2025, Elda Marie Brooks (nee McFaul) of Demorestville. Beloved daughter of the late Cecil McFaul and Phyllis (nee Wallbridge). Beloved wife of the late Roy Brooks. Devoted mother of Keith and Kathy of Demorestville, the late Sylvia (late Jack Clements) of Belleville, the late Faye Townsend (surviving Roger) of Carrying Place, and the late Steven. Dear sister of Brian McFaul, Carl McFaul and the late Florence Wood. Proud grandmother of Devan Brooks (Amanda) of Ameliasburg, Jennifer Gowan (Robin) of Finch, Wendy Mack (Shawn) of Napanee, Greg Townsend (Leanne) of Carrying Place, and the late Darrin. Loving great grandmother of Oscar, Isabelle, Rory, Ryder, Reegan, Louisa, Samuel and Claire. Sadly, our precious Elda, passed away on Sunday, November 30th, in her 96th year. A Life Well Lived, with Love and Laughter. Elda will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends whose lives she touched throughout her journey. Elda was a kind, beautiful soul, who radiated love to all who were lucky enough to know her. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the Doctors, Nurses, Caregivers and Staff at The Richmond Retirement Residence, Belleville General Hospital, and Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital for their care, compassion and concern in Elda’s final days with us. Mrs. Brooks is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11 am with Pastor Hal York officiating. =Interment in the family plot at Sophiasburgh Cemetery, 504 County Road 15, Demorestville following the Funeral Service.
