It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear dad, Gordon Wilkinson Sr., on April
6, 2026. Born March 29, 1928, on Waupoos Island, Gordon was a beloved and devoted husband to
Marilyn (Turner). Mom always felt loved and protected by Dad for over 72 wonderful years.
Although having some sadness in his life, losing in death his children Daniel, Gordon Jr., April, and
granddaughter Ashley Wilson, nothing made him happier than being surrounded by family and
friends. Dad found great joy in working in the yard and watching the birds on his deck. He enjoyed
making beautiful wooden cutting boards for those he loved and never passed up the chance for a
good game of cards. He will be sorely missed by his surviving children, Stephen, Kelly (Eddie), Tom,
and Kathy(Miles) and cherished daughter-in-law Maureen. He adored having 12 grandchildren,
Lucas, Brent, Alyssa, Erik, Amanda, Tyler, Kiaya, Aaron, Nicholas, TJ, Zachary, and Riley, and was
thrilled whenever he saw any of his many great-grandchildren. Dad was also dearly loved by
countless others who considered him their adoptive father and grandfather.
Dad had a strong faith that anchored him throughout his life and on into his later years. Dad loved
life to the fullest, but he did not fear death, knowing that he will be remembered by his God
Jehovah. A memorial service will be held at the Wellington Highline Hall on Saturday, April 18th at 3:00.
