Helen “Teedie” Middler

April 4, 1929-February 11, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Helen Theresa Middler (née Marcille), affectionately known as Teedie. She passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025 at Belleville General Hospital after spending many years at McFarland Home in Picton.

Born and raised in Ontario, Teedie spent her childhood summers on Waupoos Island, where her love of nature blossomed. She always found peace and joy in the outdoors, a love she carried throughout her life.

In her early years, Teedie pursued a career as a nurse, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and dedication. While working in Red Rock, Ontario, she met her soulmate, Dale W Middler. Together, they built a life filled with love at their property they called Sprucewood Sanctuary. They shared a love for animals and nature together until his passing in 1997.

In 2003, Teedie retired to Prince Edward County, where she settled at Morrison Point among her siblings. There, Teedie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—visiting her family, tending to her dog and the cats, feeding the birds, and watching the beauty of nature all around her.

Teedie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to both people and animals. She will forever be missed by all who knew her. Teedie was the fourth of six siblings Olive (Horton), Joseph, Angela (King), Desmond and Barbara. She is now reunited with them and her late husband, Dale, in peace. She was also a wonderful aunt to Joanne, Jamie, Mary Lynn, Laura Lea, John, Katie, Greg, Joe L, Josie and Mary Esta, and loving great-aunt to their respective children.

We will always cherish the memories of our time with Aunt Teedie, and she will remain in our hearts forever.
