Entered into rest at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Jim Byford of Picton, died at the age of 89. Son of the late Edward and Lilly Byford (nee Harrington). Beloved husband for 66 years to Betty (nee Tinney). Loving father of Catherine (Fred Foster), James Jr., Edward (Lee), Steven, Carol (late Ali), and David. Dear grandfather of Jason, Nicole, Jennifer, Becky, Krista, Michael, Anum, Shan, Madeha and great-grandfather of 4. Survived by his sisters Nancy (late Jim) and Marion (late Chandler) and predeceased by sisters Hilda, and Winnifred and brother Stanley. Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Byford is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450) for visitation on Friday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11 am. Cremation to follow and Interment at Quaker Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.  Online condolences at: www.rushnellfuneralhomes.com
