James “Jim” Edward Harrington

Passed away peacefully at West Lake Terrace on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 in his 89th year.  Beloved husband of (late) Barbara (nee Wright) for 58 years. Predeceased by his parents David and Agnes, siblings Richard, David, Robert, Arthur, William, Marie and his daughter Kasey (Stephane Courteau). Survived by his children Jim Jr. (Juanita) Belleville, Mike (Heather Brewster) Grafton, Steve (Jill) Campbell River BC, Leanne (Dean) Leavitt Glenora, and Debbie (Brian) Green Cherry Valley. Much loved Grandpa to Kristy, Shay, Byron, Jason, Megan, Jamie, Zeke, Justin, Stephanie, Jeff, Rachel and Dennis and 17 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by Anne Crowther of Picton. Jim worked at Lake Ontario Cement (now known as Heidelberg Materials) for 42 years, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78, Life Member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and St. Gregory the Great Catholic Parish. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450) and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Heartfelt thanks for the extraordinary care and compassion from the marvelous staff at West Lake Terrace and PECMH and Dr. Branton.
