James passed away peacefully, at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital in Napanee on Thursday, February 26, 2026. James Burton Minaker at age 87. Beloved husband of Alie Minaker (VanMaanen) and dear father of Natalie Frizzell (late Dan) of Napanee and Michele Marsden (Glenn) of Parsboro, NS. Grandfather of Jordan Tod (Sarah), Jeremy Tod and Shelby Cassidy (Mitch). Brother of Linda Robinson (late Cecil), Pat Weales (Norm), Nancy Fenemore (Lloyd) and the late Thelma Williams (late Allan), late Keith Minaker (late Carol) and the late Frances Sandford (Robert). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held in April at Cherry Valley Cemetery, Prince Edward County. Memorial donations made to the Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation or Grace United Church, Napanee would be appreciated by the family.
