Peacefully entered into rest at H. J. McFarland Memorial Home, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Joan Daniels of Picton, died at the age of 83.  Daughter of the late Allen and Olive Daniels (nee Bayley).  Predeceased by her partner MaryLou Ashton.  Loving sister of Gale Lowe of Picton, aunt of David, Kelly (Brian) and special cousin of Marilyn Dearden.  Joan graduated in 1962 as a Laboratory Technician and worked at North Western and Etobicoke Hospitals.  Joan loved animals, and returned to school to become a Veterinarian Technician in 1994.  She moved to Prince Edward County in 1997 and worked at the Rossmore and Prince Edward Animal Vet Hospitals before she retired.  The family would like to thank the management and caregivers at H. J. McFarland Memorial Home for the love and care they showed Joan the past 11 months. In keeping with Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place at the family cottage in the Summer of 2026.   If desired, donations to the Loyalist Humane Society or the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation “Back the Build” in Joan’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
