Joanne Marion Pierson (nee Rozomiak)

January 29, 1934 - April 18, 2025

Peacefully at Wynfield Chartwell Retirement Home, Oshawa, Ontario, Joanne Marion Pierson (nee Rozomiak) in her 92nd year went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2025. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Ross Pierson.  Proud and supporting Mom to Paul, Don and Jay. Cherished Grandmother to Reid, Brock, Sam, Dru, Emilia and Elijah. Great Grandmother to Aurora. Joanne was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up Black Creek, Prince Edward County.  Joanne lived a full life working for the Bank of Montreal, Ontario Department of Agriculture, Once Upon a Time Gift shop and head “bookkeeper” for Lakeside Farms aka the family farm. Joanne’s strong faith led her to be an active support and participant in the Christian faith community. She was also active in many community activities. Joanne will be especially missed by her sister Lynn McMahon (Daniel), brother Peter, brother-in-law Jim Morton, sister-in-law Lou Pierson and former daughter-in-law Jody Pierson.  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Morton, brother Jack Rozomiak, brother-in-law Cline Pierson and sister in-laws Mona Kemp (nee Pierson) and June Pierson Joanne had a great circle of supportive friends that continued to keep in contact with her during her time at the Wynfield Retirement home in Oshawa, Ontario. Visitation at AINSWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington on Thursday, May 1st, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 2nd at the Wellington United Church at 11:00 a.m., followed by internment at Wellington Cemetery and a light lunch at the church.
