Josef Sensenstein

April 29, 1934 - May 11, 2025

it is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our patriarch, Josef Sensenstein on May 11th.
Joe was born in Nadap, Hungary to Joseph and Elisabeth Sensenstein. He was the youngest of their three children and their only son. Joe is predeceased by his parents, his sister Lina, his brother's-in-law Franz and Emmerik, his wife Elizabeth and his grandson Devon. He is survived by his sister Elisabeth, his best friend and travel compadre, Janice Griffith of Pennsville, New Jersey, his seven children, and his multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Through the series of twists and turns we call life, Joe landed in Picton in 1970. With his "never say can't" attitude, he quickly became a well known and respected businessman and member of The County, Owning and operating Joe's Appliance Service for 40 years, and driving school bus for 25 years, made him a familiar face wherever he went. Joe was an enthusiastic member of The Classic Car Club, winning awards and accolades for many of his old cars. Even though Joe was the typical stoic European of his generation, he still enjoyed a good game of cribbage or shuffleboard, a good meal with people he enjoyed, and dancing. No one loved a good polka better than our "Papa Joe"! Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Joe's life will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the PECMH Back the Build,
