Lee Proctor

On Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 86, after brief hospital care, Lee Proctor peacefully transitioned to eternal life. Though saddened by the loss of our vibrant mother/grandmother, Leona Marie Proctor née Valiquette), we feel her love every day. Lee is predeceased by her beloved husband, Nelson Proctor, parents Fernand and Geraldine (Page) Valiquette, brother Richard and her sisters Gwen and Theresa (Murray). Lee is survived by her children Kevin, Tracey and Sheila ; granddaughters Shadyn and Jessica and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Lee was born in Woodstock, Ontario on March 14, 1939. From early on Lee had a certain “joie de vivre” and indomitable spirit! She excelled in school and joined the Canadian Air Force at the age of 18 as a Recreation Specialist, where she met her husband, Nelson. Lee was proud to be a Veteran with the Deseronto Legion, where she was an avid dart player. She will be deeply missed. In her earlier years Lee was known to take her children to the military base baseball field, where she played! Other activities included curling, bowling and team sports, in general. Lee was also a restaurant owner (Napanee) – always ready for the next venture!  Her goodwill included volunteering with the Deseronto Foodbank for 16 years.  Many of her friends had nicknames for Lee which included, mouse, tiger, Leepy Lee and the General. To emphasize the joy and accomplishments of Lee’s life, a Day of Celebration will be held at the Deseronto Legion on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
