Entered into rest at the Village Senior’s Long Term Care Facility, Hanover, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, Leona Head (nee Steenburgh), of Hanover, formerly of Walkerton, the Manor on Loyalist Parkway, Picton and South Marysburgh, died at the age of 91. Daughter of the late Edwin Steenburgh & Celia (nee Selman) and wife of the late Murray.  Loving mother of Glenda Ruhl (Christopher) of Walkerton and the late Dean, grandmother of Tori (Colton), and great-grandmother of Sloane. Survived by her brother Roy Steenburgh of Belleville and by her sister Jean Fraser (Dalton) of Cherry Valley. Predeceased by siblings Gerald, Murray, Riley, Phyllis Tolkamp, Theodore, Leonard and Basil. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Head rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11 am with visitation for 1 hour prior to the Service. Pastor Blake Found officiating. Interment West Lake Church of Christ Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at: www.rushnellfuneralhomes.
