It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Madeline Carol Kelleher (née Judson) on December 1st at the age of 87, in Belleville, Ontario.
Madeline was the beloved wife of John Kelleher, cherished mother of Brett, Shawn (Yvonne), Kevin, and Lisa, and loving sister to Craig Judson (Ann) and special aunt to Jennifer and Jonathan. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Justin, Tyler, Meghan and Margaux, as well as her great-grandchildren Kole, Ava, Sky, Addison, and Natalie.
Madeline was an avid gardener, a devoted hockey and baseball fan, and warmly welcomed many billeted Belleville Bulls hockey players into her home.
She was also a gifted crafter known for her beautiful handmade creations and her extraordinary talent for decorating. Her home was transformed for every season and celebration, with winter and Christmas being her favourite.
Madeline also devoted many years to fostering newborn babies on their path to adoption—an act of love she considered one of her greatest joys. She remained in touch with many adoptive families, cherishing annual Christmas cards and updates as the children she once held in her arms grew up.
Madeline will be remembered for her warm heart, big hugs, and the always-filled cookie jars waiting for visitors. Her legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will live on in all our hearts.
