Mary Jean Pringle

August 16, 1924 - February 7, 2025

On the evening of February 7, 2025, Mary Jean Pringle (Thompson) peacefully exited her home of 77 years on County Rd. 7 to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Mary was in her 101st year. She was the wife of the late Raymond Pringle and mother to Dennis (Mabel) and John. Loving grandmother to Andrea (Wayne) Bleakley, Emerson (Joanna)Pringle, Celeste Pringle, Remington Pringle, Shawna Shaw (Jerry DeLorenso). Great grandmother to Perse, Clare, Quentin, Keegan, Dominic, Shawn (Latisha), Robert (Tiffany). Great great grandmother of Liam, Hannah, Declan, Siraya, and Sophia. Mary loved her only sister Donna (George) Treverton who kept her up to date on the news of the extended family. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon (Winifred) and Reg (Jean) whom she truly missed. Mary was born on Big Island to William and Jane (Carson) Thompson.  She was also the stepdaughter of the late Dorothy (Hawley) Thompson. Mary loved and appreciated her faithful caregiver, Shania Wray, who was at her side 24/7 for the last three years. Also, RN Karen Farrington who was with her and the family in her final hour. We thank all the PSW’s and nurses who cared for Mom these past months. A Celebration of Life will take place on February 22nd, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Free Methodist Church, 384 Main St., Picton. A luncheon will immediately follow the service and the family will have a private spring interment at Cressy Cemetery.
