Michael James Brennan

July 31, 1956 - August 8, 2024

Peacefully entered into rest at Hospice Prince Edward, Picton, while holding Gina’s hand, after a joyfilled day with his family, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, Michael Brennan of Ameliasburgh, died at the age of 68. Son of the late Robert Brennan and Barbara (nee Sills) and beloved husband for 41 years to Gina (nee Lamping). Loving father of Monique (Timur) of Picton, Colin (Arwen) of Ottawa, and Luke (Shannon) of Toronto and grandfather of Mattea, Vincent and Riley. Survived by his brothers Terry (Darlene), Stephen, and Clare (Jenny), brother-in-law of Itesh Sachdev (late Donna), Kelly Lamping (late Tony), and son-in-law of Helen Lamping (late Vincent). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and numerous cousins from the Brennan and Sills families. Mike was fiercely loyal and dedicated his energies to loving and caring for his family and loved ones. His attention to detail was unsurpassed from accounting every dollar and hour on a project, to the minute details of daily life to ensure safety, love and happiness for his family. The windy villa was Mike’s favourite place; for 40 years, Mike and Gina welcomed children, grandchildren, family and friends.  Music, laughter, food and drink, rousing discussions and roof-raising cheers for the Leafs ensured a lively and loving environment. Mike felt that global social awareness was an obligation: “We are all earthlings”. Mr. Brennan rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450) for visitation on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Private Graveside Service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery, Picton. If desired, donations to Hospice Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and memories at: www.rushnellfuneralhomes.com
