Michael “Kip” Brisley

December 31, 1971 - May 5, 2026

After a long five-year battle with cancer, Kip continued to face life with the same determination that defined him.
A passionate builder, he had a remarkable ability to restore historic houses to their original beauty. Through his work, he helped bring new life to buildings that might otherwise have been lost, leaving behind spaces that will continue to be appreciated for years to come.
Kip was also an avid reader and a musician, drawn to creativity and learning. He had a deep love for nature and was most at peace when hiking through the forest or canoeing on a lake with his best friend, Rob Clancy.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy; his daughters, Anna and Emily; his parents, John and Diane; and his sister, Melanie (Mike).
Through the homes he restored, the music he played, and the time he spent in nature, Kip left a quiet but lasting mark on the world around him.
As per Kip’s wishes, no public services will be held.
If desired, donations to Hospice Prince Edward or University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (gastric cancer research) would be greatly appreciated
