Peter Dullard

January 24, 1947 - February 27, 2025

It is with a mix of sorrow and reflection that we announce the passing of Peter Dullard on February 27, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Sunderland, England, on January 24, 1947, to James and Winifred Dullard.

Peter emigrated to Canada with his wife, Irene, and their young daughter, Joanne, on Valentine’s Day in 1977, seeking new opportunities and adventure. After settling in Aurora, Ontario, he built a life with his family before relocating to Prince Edward County in 1990. There, he embraced his passion for woodworking and became a member of the Prince Edward County Artist’s Coop. He found joy in shaping wood into works of beauty, reveling in both creativity and skill. Beyond his craftsmanship, Peter deeply loved community projects and volunteering throughout his life. Whether lending his talents to local initiatives or offering a helping hand to those in need, he believed in giving back and contributing to the communities he called home.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene, in 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Joanne, and his grandchildren, Spencer and Remy, who carry forward his spirit in their own unique ways. Peter is also survived by his many siblings, nieces and nephews in the UK.

While Peter's later years were marked by distance from those closest to him, he will be remembered for his curiosity for life, and love of learning and music as well as for the moments of connection he shared with them throughout his life.

In keeping with his wishes, Peter has been cremated, and a private celebration will take place to honour his life. May his spirit live on in the hands of makers, the hearts of dreamers, and the minds of those who never stop learning.

Not goodbye, just ta-ra for now.
