Peter Glanz

September 5, 1947 - March 22, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Picton Hospital in his 78th year peacefully surrounded by family. Predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Franz Glanz of Austria as well as his uncle Josef and aunt Stephy. Loving husband of Monica Glanz of 29 years. Loving father of Charlotte (Georg) of Austria, Anna (Jason) of Picton and RJ (Destiny) of Belleville. Beloved brother of Christine Schmid (late Jorg) and Annelise Friedreich (Franz) both of Austria, as well as nephews Martin Schmid and Stephen Friedreich. Cherished Grandpa/pa of Brayden, Dallas, Matthew and Payton, and granddaughter on the way. He will be missed dearly by his in-laws Linda (Durl), Donna (Gary), Sandra (Karl), Debbie (late Gilbert, late Phil), Brenda as well as his nieces and nephews. Peter was born is Austria, Europe. He came to Canada and built his life from B.C to Picton. Peter worked in Real Estate. He worked at ReMax in Picton for many years, as well as Midtown Meats in Wellington. He also operated his own business, Peter Pumpkin Enterprises. Growing, cleaning and distributing pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil, helping men across the Province with prostate issues. It became a family affair with lots of memories. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at a later date. Thank you to all the Nurses, Doctors and support staff of the Picton Hospital for the compassion and care especially Keely, Emma and Michaela.
