Robert Cunningham Wilson passed away in Picton on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in his 90th year. Loving husband to Donalda Wilson (née Jones), his wife of nearly 65 years. Born in Smiths Falls, Ontario, he was the son of Henry Wilson and Glenna Wilson (née Suffel), and elder brother to Nancy Wilson (William Smirle) and the late Teddy Wilson (d. 1955, age 5). He will be deeply missed by his sons, Paul Wilson (Susan Wilson née Prinzen) of Ottawa, and Timothy Wilson (Heather Poitras and the late Kerry Wilson) of Kingston. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth (Tanvir), Samuel, James, Matthew, and Caitlin, and great-grandfather of Hudson. Also remembered is infant daughter, Sarah, who passed away shortly after birth. Robert taught elementary school in Ottawa before moving to Picton with his family in 1974 to serve as vice-principal at Queen Elizabeth Public School, and later as principal at North Marysburgh Public School. A devoted follower of Christ, he worshipped for many years at Picton Free Methodist Church and St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church where he organized the men’s prayer breakfast. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, 335 Main Street E., Picton, with visitation for 1 hour prior to the Memorial Service in the Church. Private Family Interment at Quaker Cemetery, Bloomfield. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church or World Vision.
