She is survived and lovingly remembered by her mother, Fran Boeder; her sister Lorie Carty (John); and her brother Paul Mastin (Cheryl). Shelley will also be lovingly remembered by her parents-in-law, Brian and Barbara Masse, and her sister-in-law, Renee Masse. She was a special and loving aunt to Mathew, Natalie, Regan, Davis, and Beth. Shelley was predeceased by her father, Orman Mastin, and her stepfather, John Boeder.
A graduate of George Brown College and the University of Western Ontario, Shelley began her career as a Registered Nurse, practicing in both Toronto and London. She later went on to a fulfilling career as a long-term faculty member and Coordinator in the School of Nursing at Fanshawe College. After retiring in 2024, Shelley continued her passion through a part-time position with the College. Shelley loved teaching and her students, with many rewarding experiences occurring in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Northern Canada. Shelley also volunteered much of her time and abilities in service to organizations in her community.
Shelley showed no shortage of unconditional love, generosity, positivity, compassion, and support to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by her colleagues and her many friends, both near and far. Shelley will also be dearly missed by her beloved cats, whom she adored.
Always ready for her next travel adventure, Shelley embraced life fully. She loved pickleball, golf and her job at FireRock Golf Club. She lived life to the fullest, inspired those around her to do the same, and never took a moment for granted.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the love and support received from their dear friends and the community.
