Quietly entered into rest at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, on Sunday,
December 17, 2023. Ron Thomson of Wellington, died at the age of 89. Beloved husband of
the late Lena (nee Dunn) and loving partner of Jeanette Sparling. Dear father of Graeme
(Kristen) of Grand Cayman and predeceased by his son Ian. Remembered by his grandchildren
Tyler and Marley. Survived by brother Ian Thomson of Nova Scotia, his sister Betty Laing of
Scotland, his nieces Christine Agnes Kathleen Thomson of Nova Scotia, Morna Allison Auld
(John) of Scotland and his nephew Donald Gordon Laing of Scotland. Remembered by his
extended Sparling family. Mr. Thomson rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33
Main Street, (613-476-2450).

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1 p.m. in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, King Street, Picton with Rev. Lynne Donovan officiating.
