The Rev. Canon Dr. Thora Wade Rowe died peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family on February 5, 2026, one month before her 95 th birthday. Daughter of the late Major Percy and Lilian Gallaher Wade of Quebec City and beloved wife of the late Reverend Ted Fuller (1927-1969) and the late John F. Rowe (1923-2006). Dear mother of Derrick Fuller of Ottawa and Esme Fuller-Thomson (Murray) of Toronto and step-mother to Molly Chapman (Timm) of Phoenix, Arizona, Blake Rowe (Joanne) of Langley BC, and the late Pamela Rowe. Cherished sister of Deidre Topazian (David) of Connecticut and aunt to their three children Mark (Janet), Peter and Joy (Will). Lovingly remembered by grand-children Justin (Laura), Lilia, Elysia, and Ian Fuller-Thomson, and Hillary and Grant Rowe. Also her great-grandchildren Sebastian and Madelyn Caputo-Thomson. Her life was deeply enriched by her many friends, to whom we are very grateful. Thora was born in Quebec City and was a graduate of Quebec High School and Concordia University, Anglican Women’s Training College and Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto, where she trained for the ministry and from which she subsequently received an honourary doctorate as a pioneering woman in ministry. Besides raising her family, she had careers in teaching, social work and as an ordained minister in the Anglican Church. She served the Parish of Marysburgh for eight years followed by six interim ministries and many years as an honourary assistant at St. George’s in Trenton. Visitation at the Weaver Family Funeral Home West, 170 Dundas Street West will be on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 5-8pm. A memorial Service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Trenton on Saturday March 21, 2026 at 2pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to World Vision or St. George’s Memorial Fund would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Thora is thankful to the Lord for His faithfulness.
