Vere Stark, born October 6, 1941 passed away at Hallowell House August 22, 2025 after a long battle with dementia and cancer. Vere was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Douglas Laverne and her siblings Jim, Richard and Bill Leeman, sisters Noreen Veley and Myrtle Willis and parents William Leeman and Bessie Hughson. Vere is survived by her son Stephen and siblings Beryl Ellerbeck (Clare deceased), Arthur Leeman (Gail deceased), Mary Derue (Jim), Helen Tolles (Ron), Jack Leeman (Linda), Carm Irwin (Jack) and brother Les Leeman (Judy), sister-in-law Dorothy Leeman and brother-in-law Bill Veley. Vere will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends.
